ANA M. GUEVARA, Domestic and International Governmental and Trade Relations
Ana M. Guevara advises clients in strategic trade matters. By helping clients develop successful business and corporate strategies, which take into account the needs of target markets in the United States and abroad, Ms. Guevara endeavors to maximize clients’ success in their global ventures.
With more than 25 years of experience in international trade and development, Ms. Guevara is a respected figure in both the government and business sectors. Ms. Guevara’s governmental experience includes a Presidential appointment in 2008 as the Alternate Executive Director to the World Bank Group, where she represented the United States on the Board of Directors. Previous to that, in 2006 Ms. Guevara was appointed Deputy Assistant Secretary of Trade for Service Industries at the U.S. Department of Commerce; she also served as ex-officio board member of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. From 1989-1993 she served as Special Assistant for International Transportation and Trade in the Office of the U.S. Secretary of Transportation.
In the private sector she served as Walmart’s Vice President for Corporate Affairs Latin America (2010-2011); with UPS (1993-2006), including six years in Washington DC as International Public Affairs Manager, and six years in Miami as Vice President Public Affairs for Latin America. Ms. Guevara has been and continues to be an active member of many boards and non-profit organizations.
She is a graduate of The George Washington University and also studied in Paris and Switzerland.
